NanoFoil® is described as “reactive multilayer foil”. It is comprised of many alternating layers of aluminum and nickel which are each only nanometers thick. These layers are waiting in close proximity of each other - waiting to react.
Before reaction can take place, the layers of Al and Ni require energy input. We have many options for energy input, and we will explore some of these in the posts that are linked to below.
