One of my favorite students at Dartmouth's engineering school is Sean Furey. He is a great student and athlete and is the only person so far to be able to pull back my new 120 pound long bow.
Below is the citation for a recent reward he received as the Scholar Athelete of the year. Send him a note of congratulations.

July 27, 2005 -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the Men's and Women's Scholar Athletes of the Year and the Men's and Women's Scholar Teams of the Year for NCAA Division I track & field.
Men's Scholar Athlete of the Year :
Sean Furey of Dartmouth closed out his collegiate career by finishing third in the javelin at the 2005 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a school-record throw of 242-03 feet. Earlier in the season, he won the javelin at the NCAA Division I East Regional Championships and won the Ivy League/Heptagonal Championships by more than 20 feet to earn first team All-Ivy honors. Furey earned a 3.80 GPA at Dartmouth with his major in Engineering.
