上周好友王向我介绍了一本书，《中国大趋势》(China’s Megatrends: The 8 Pillars of a New Society, by John Naisbitt). 据说这个John Naisbitt早在1982年就写了一本《大趋势》(Megatrends)。他在书中预言的美国社会将来的变化，包括互联网等，都一一实现了。 这里有更详细关于他或是他的中国大趋势简介。
这让我想起了前段时间Dr. Ron Lasky 在美国SMTAI展会上，为SMTA成立25周年的开篇主题演讲“SMT: The Next 25 Years”. Dr. Lasky 这一辈子都为SMT这个大行业服务，见证了整个行业的发展，经验丰富，阅历深。在演讲的前半部，他“以史为镜”，生动的列举了从50年代末期到现在，SMT和电子产品(Electronic Devices)的变迁；后半部，他旁征博引，加上自己的独到分析，和大家分享了对未来电子产品/表面贴装工艺/材料技术等的预测。

Dr. Lasky虽然年迈了，但是思维还是很敏捷，每天很保持学习，阅读，思考提问，教书，工作，和运动。很荣幸，Dr. Lasky是Indium公司的资深顾问。更幸运的是，他是我们大家的好朋友，和我曾经的导师。

PS: 我也和一些美国友人们分享了这本中国大趋势，Dr. Ron Lasky是其中一个。我问他看过以前John Naisbitt写的《大趋势》没有，Dr. Lasky 很巧妙的回答我“我在你出生前刚好读完”。 哈哈，我哭笑不得。等有空读完了这本中国大趋势，我也要找找那本大趋势，看看作者以前是怎么分析预见当今的美国。
