The Pledge

Indium Corporation is very proud of The Pledge that we developed in collaboration with 16 other Central New York Manufacturers and the Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY).

The manufacturer’s pledge, supported by a peer-to-peer review process, utilizes the collective skills and knowledge of the founding organizations, including experience from those who have overcome previous infectious episodes, like the SARS outbreak. This process also leverages safe practices and best practices from noted authorities, including WHO, the CDC, OSHA, EPA, and local Departments of Health.

Food Pantry Donations

Local Food Bank Donations

Noting the increased community need for basic necessities due to so many individuals being out of work, Indium Corporation hosted a food drive at each of its five facilities in New York State. The response from employees was so great that donations of nonperishable food items were made in multiple rounds as the company continued its collection into June of 2020.

Donation recipients included Mother Mary’s Soup Kitchen in Utica, New York and Connected Community Schools in Rome, New York.

Months before COVID-19 was identified as an epidemic in the United States, other parts of the world were already experiencing the wrath of the virus.
