I cannot believe how quickly these 10 weeks have passed by. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in this internship program here at Indium Corporation. Individuals such as Rick Short, Anita Brown, Dawn Roller, Jim McCoy, the supervisors, and many more all made this experience possible. I can say this experience was truly amazing. I was able to fulfill my main goal of wanting to gain real-work engineering experience, but I was also able to gain much more than that. This internship wasn’t just working under a supervisor, while completing different projects. There was much more to it.
We interns had weekly engagements, known as lunch and learns, where we learned a different topic every week. Topics included interpersonal skills, intellectual property, resume building, mentoring, and etc. These topics taught us new skills, relationship building, and much more. These engagements made the experience more worthwhile because these topics aren’t exactly taught or straight forward within the work place.
The opportunity to work at Indium Corporation was truly an honor. I hope to one day to see myself working at a company such as Indium Corporation. Everyone was so friendly and respectful towards me whenever it came to a question or simply a conversation, I felt comfortable. This not only made the job more enjoyable, but also made it easier to talk to fellow employees. Thank you Indium Corporation for everything you have done for the internship program, it was an unbelievable experience.
