Concluding Remarks

  • Hello,

This week marks the conclusion of Indium Corporation’s 2016 summer internship program. This experience has been absolutely indispensable in my professional development. Throughout the summer I have gained engineering, academic, interpersonal, and communicative skills and perspectives that I would not have otherwise.

As I have mentioned in previous blog posts, this summer’s experience has been exceptional. The other interns and I have benefited from a program that has grown exponentially in the last year; this program growth is mirrored in how much incoming interns grow throughout the summer (the program change can be seen in Lindsay Cannistra’s blog).

Being at the program’s end, I would like to thank everyone that has helped me through the last few months. My supervisor, Jim Wolber and our VP of Operations, Brian Reid were invaluable in helping me to ‘gain my footing’ in my project. Our maintenance staff and engineers were always there to answer questions or track down documentation that I needed. All of our employees were very welcoming and friendly. And our HR department was very involved, making this experience as mutually beneficial as possible.

It has been an honor to work here this summer and I greatly appreciate everything that the company has done to help me.

    Thank you,

    Sean McKenna
