Greetings and welcome to my first blog as an Intern at Indium Corporation! I am a summer college intern in the procurement department, which plays a very important roll here. Being a student at Clarkson University, I just completed my second year of schooling. With that, my major is Global Supply Chain Management with a minor in Project Management. I am excited to apply what I have learned in the classroom to the projects assigned to myself and the rest of the procurement team!
Being from Rome, NY, I am impressed with all of the innovative technologies and products developed in the surrounding cities through Indium Corporation's multiple locations! Also, with Indium Corporation being a multi-national company, the level of globalization is extensive - and that thrills me. At Clarkson University, I am a member of the varsity Women's Basketball team. Being a student athlete in college has helped me manage my time better, taught me to work together with others in order to be successful, and to never give up on any passions or goals that I or the team may have.
This program will be exceptionally rewarding, not only for the interns, but for Indium Corporation as a whole. The summer class of 2017 interns brings in bright, fresh, and new ideas that will be applied to given projects and tasks throughout the next 10 weeks.
