It’s been a while since I have mentioned equipment on this blog, so I began by searching for updates to equipment I already know and enjoy.
It didn’t take long before I noticed a video from XYZTEC regarding their latest bond test equipment, the Condor Sigma.
In this video, Dirk mentions something that I find very interesting about the Lite version of the Condor Sigma: it has the ability to upgrade to the full function of the standard machine. My personal experience with the original Condor 250 is that once you start using these machines you will quickly find new uses. The expansion of the Sigma Lite allows a customer to start out small, but still have options in the future. I think we have all had experiences in the past with cell phones, computers, or other electronics, where we needed to get rid of our old unit for a new unit with more features. This is no longer the case with the Sigma Lite.
So, if you are thinking about purchasing one of these machines, my recommendation is to feel comfortable in choosing the Lite version if it is the best fit for you now. If you are interested in this equipment, here is a link to learn more . Also, I can share my thoughts if you’d like to chat.
Finally, please let me know if you have soldering, measurement, or bond testing equipment that you’d like me to review. I’m always looking to learn more.
