This title is appropriate because I am going to one of Indium Corporation's solder manufacturing facilities, in Chicago, and because it is the start of one of my favorite quotes, from the 1980's classic The Blues Brothers:
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.
If you have never seen the movie it is a must-watch. It's a tale of two brothers who try and save their Catholic School home, where they grew up, from being shut down. They try to get the old band back together to try and earn the necessary money to save the home.
Anyway, I am off to "The Windy City"..."City of Broad Shoulders"..."The Second City"...CHICAGO!!! It will be my first time traveling there to see Indium's facility.
Cities have always fascinated me and I'm sure that the hustle and bustle of the big city will be a change of pace from Clinton, NY but I am ready for the challenges. I will be there for the entirety of next week. I fly out of Syracuse on Monday and return that Friday. I will keep a record of my activities and experiences and will share them with you all.
Stay tuned for Updates.
'Til Next time,
-Adam
