In the midst of the summer months, one may be thinking about kayaking, swimming, fishing, or simply spending time outside. I’m here to remind you that keeping your solder paste cool should also be at the top of your mind!
Recently, I have been receiving many inquiries on the topic of keeping solder paste cool during the heat waves this summer. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when you receive your next batch of solder paste.
Indium Corporation ships our solder paste in packaging designed to keep the material ≤ 35°C for the duration of transit. Depending on your location, most solder paste will ship via next day or two-day delivery service. Indium Corporation solder pastes are resistant to temperature fluctuations in transit. At the time of delivery, the solder paste temperature should be checked to ensure it has arrived ≤ 35°C and transferred to the recommended refrigeration conditions as indicated on the label for long-term storage. Please refer to our application note site which is linked here or find the "Solder Paste Storage and Handling Guidelines" for more detailed information. Alternatively, you can contact us if you have any questions.
Stay cool for the rest of the summer and don’t forget to bring your solder paste along with you!
