Recently I learned something interesting about the history of one of our products. The information arose when a colleague was having a discussion with a customer. It went like this:
Question: “…How long will my indium sulfamate plating bath be useable, and how often do its associated parts need replacing?”
Answer: “The plating bath will last indefinitely as long as contamination is kept to a minimum. We have baths that have been in service for 10+ years. …The indium concentration in the bath is replenished as consumed, by dissolution of the indium metal anode.”
