Most of our customers use whatever heating method they already have, unless they are starting from scratch or unless there is a reason their existing reflow equipment will not work well for a new application. Most of the time we see common heating equipment such as belt furnaces, batch ovens, and soldering irons – although there are many other options you should be aware of.
You may be interested to learn that microwaves, infrared radiation, induction coils, hot plate or hot bar, ultrasonics, lasers, and even blow torches can each be used for specialty soldering applications.
