This picture was taken before my last flight home from Taiwan. In front of me was a giant hunk of metal that over a hundred people would soon enter to fly over an ocean – yet we felt safe. I was thinking about how we as engineers are responsible for making products reliable. This plane is filled with electronic components and we are confident that they will work – that is an amazing accomplishment!
