  • Happy International Women in Engineering Day!

Science was once considered a male-dominated field, with many important discoveries spearheaded by women gone unnoticed. That is no longer true, and as a leading company in materials science, Indium Corporation strives to give credits to the women that are making positive impacts on our company and the industry.

Women Engineers and The Company’s Success

We are dedicated to uplifting the exceptional women engineers at Indium Corporation, and their impact on our success. Our support for women in STEM extends beyond today – it's a commitment we honor every day.

Over the years, our women leaders and employees have been working incredibly hard to enhance their project work, the office environment, and the industry. Most recently, one of our key women leaders--Indium Corporation’s Senior Global Product Manager for Semiconductor and Advanced Materials--Sze Pei Lim was proud to deliver two technical presentations at the 11th Micro/Nano-Electronics Packaging and Assembly, Design and Manufacturing (MiNaPAD) Forum on June 19-20 in Grenoble, France.

Beyond supporting our current employees, Indium Corporation also strives to empower young talents with a passion for science. Over the years, our internship program has created unique opportunities for aspiring engineers to gain knowledge in their fields of interest. Here’s what Olivia Manley, an intern from 2023 and now a co-op student, thinks about the program: Learning From the Experts | Olivia Manley | Indium Corporation Blogs | Indium College Interns | 2023 College Interns.

This year, four aspiring women engineers joined us in the internship program, and we are all excited to see them learn and grow in their passions!

    Powerful Stories

As a special way to celebrate this year’s Women in Engineering Day, we were honored to interview five incredible women at Indium Corporation: Emily Lombardi (Manufacturing Process Engineer II), Angela Wager (Manufacturing Process Engineer II), Emmeline MacPherson (Manufacturing Process Engineer I), Veronica Nosov (Thermal Interface Intern), and Becca Carpenter (Robotics Intern). Watch as they share about their early aspirations, how Indium Corporation has contributed to their journeys in engineering, and the advice they would like to give to young aspiring female engineers that hope to break into the STEM field: View Their Stories.

Their stories are a testament to fulfilling careers and opportunities for women in engineering. As engineering continues to evolve, these incredible women are all proud advocates for the profession, inviting others to join and shape its future.
